An ISO14001 and ISO/TS16949 registered company. 200 S. 4th Street Albion, IL 62806-1313 SERVICE BULLETIN Date: March 20, 2020 To: Luber-finer® Customers From: Luber-finer® Subject: LW4076XL Design Change Service Bulletin: March 20, 2020 LW4076XL Design Change Luber-Finer has made a design change to the LW4076XL. This change does not affect filter performance. The largest difference is that the OE filter snaps into the OE housing cap, whereas the new Luber-finer filter does not. Both filters have the same sealing surface on the bottom of the filter. As shown in the picture above, both the OE and Luber-finer filter have the same dimensions and seal into the housing the same way. For installation of the LW4076XL, follow these directions: 1. Lubricate all housing or filter o-rings. 2. Install the Luber-finer filter into the housing. 3. Install the OE housing cap as normal. Note: If the OE housing cap is difficult to tighten, make sure the filter is seated all the way down inside the housing. For removal of the LW4076XL, follow these directions: 1. Unscrew the housing cap (filter will still be in housing). 2. Insert finger in filter hole or grasp the top of the end cap to pull filter out (this will allow you to reduce the amount of spilled coolant). Note: The Luber-finer filter does not snap into the housing cap and will not come out with the housing cap. To recap, the Luber-finer LW4076XL design does not alter the filterâs performance. The only changes concern the filterâs appearance and the procedures in which you will need to install and remove the filter.
